Mobility Analysis for Pandemic Prevention Strategies (MAPPS)
Agent-based models of pathogen transmission
The Center for Mobility Analysis for Pandemic Prevention Strategies (MAPPS) at Brown studies how human mobility data can be used to inform real-time pandemic responses by simulating disease transmission.
As a student researcher, I helped design the sensor setup for collecting indoor mobility data and built a prototype for identifying contacts in a disease transmission model from spatio-temporal data. I explored different agent-based model setups in NetLogo and studied the emergent transmission patterns.
